This recipe with hazelnut oil is an excellent homemade anti aging face cream for those dealing with facial sagging, wrinkles, and the “dreaded” jowls.
When I look at my mum I know jowls are coming my way.
She is not a wrinkly person, but she has jowls, so it is in my genes.
Since I don’t like jowls I’m doing all I can to prevent their apparition in a natural way.
If sagging skin is not your thing get ready to make this cream.
No matter your age because even younger people need to take care of their skin to prevent age-related skin conditions.
Hazelnut oil is especially effective for flaccid skin and its vitamin E content keeps the skin moisturized and helps reduce pigmentation.

Note: Make sure you are not allergic to the ingredients, especially hazelnut oil. Pregnant or nursing women consult your doctor if you are unsure. The same goes for anyone taking medications.
Homemade Anti Aging Face Cream Recipe With Pictures
The ingredients used in this recipe are effective to tighten the skin and delaying as much as possible loose skin.
It is all about natural ingredients and knowing what you are applying to your skin.
It is easy to make, but it needs a few ingredients you might not have at home.
I have left a few Amazon links below in case you want to order the ingredients you need.
Ingredients:
- 5gr of cocoa butter or Shea butter
- 4gr of emulsifying wax
- 5gr of hazelnut oil or argan oil
- 3gr of rosehip oil or jojoba oil
- 20 gr of rosewater and 15 gr glycerin
- 1 teaspoon of vitamin e (5gr)
- 10 drops of geranium essential oil
- 10 drops of rose essential oil
- broad-spectrum preservative (I like this one)
If you don’t have a digital scale to precisely measure the ingredients have a look at this one.
If you want to make your own rose water check out this recipe.
You can make this moisturizer using cocoa butter or Shea butter, depending on your skin type.
I have made the recipe using both ingredients (separately). You can see the pictures below.
I like both of them, but I find the cocoa butter face cream more oily than the one I have made with Shea butter.
How to make it:
Place the cocoa butter and emulsifying wax together in a heat-resistant container. In another bowl, place the rosewater combined with glycerin.
Put both containers inside another container with water (water bath) and on the stove over low heat. Make sure the water doesn’t boil.
Once the wax and butter are melted remove them from the heat and add hazelnut oil and rosehip oil. Stir until the oils are well incorporated.
Slowly, pour the rosewater over the oils using the hand mixer at the same time.
You could also use a hand blender or a whisk, but I find it easier with a hand mixer.
Keep mixing until the moisturizer has emulsified.
The next step is adding vitamin E and essential oils.
Lastly, add the preservative and stir all the ingredients until they are well blended.
Transfer to a sterilized container and keep in a cool dry place. With this amount, I was able to fill a 70gr jar.
How to use it:
The texture of the cream is rich, so is more suitable to use at night.
Take a small amount with a clean spatula and apply it on the face and neck with an upwards massage.
This homemade face cream has a shelf life of 3 months.
Don’t forget to date the container.

You’re doing a great job, thank you so much, I really appreciate your help by giving out name of ingredients to use at home for the anti aging cream. Please do you have already made anti aging cream for sale? If yes, how much is the cost?
How much preservative is being used in this? Thanks
Hi,
It depends on the preservative you use and the recommended usage rate at which it needs to be added. This calculator makes it easier to find out the amount of preservative you need to add. I hope that helps.
Hi, I would like to try this out but I don’t have emulsifying wax or the preservative. Could I use beeswax instead and make it more of a butter consistency?
Hi,
Thanks for stopping by. Beeswax alone is not an emulsifier and you need to add one to keep the water and oils from separating. You will also need to use a broad-spectrum preservative or your moisturizer is going to be infected with microbes, bacteria, or mold. The only way you don’t need to add an emulsifying wax or a preservative is if you make the cream as an ointment, without adding water and glycerin. I hope this helps.
