Matcha body sugar scrub recipe with antioxidant benefits
Have you ever had a cup of matcha green tea?
Most of us by now have at least heard its name being flung around the nearest coffee shop, but you may not know why or what it really is.
Matcha is a type of green tea, produced from young leaves ground into a fine bright green powder and is super good for you.
I personally find it delicious in a latte, lots of people just drink it as tea, but some have a hard time with its earthy flavor and sip it down for the abundance of beneficial properties.
More about its benefits after the antioxidant matcha body sugar scrub recipe.

Matcha Green Tea Body Scrub Benefits
Matcha has some amazing stuff in it, and it turns out you don’t have to drink it to benefit from them.
Filled with antioxidants that battle harmful UV rays and free radicals, matcha can relieve inflammation and slow down the aging process.
Cool right? Matcha also contains L-Theanine, which helps to relax and smooth the skin, making it healthy-looking and bright.
In addition, it contains tons of chlorophyll to clean toxins from the body and it also has important nutrients such as iron, potassium, protein, calcium, and vitamin C.
Using matcha in a body scrub allows you to absorb the benefits of the tea as well as exfoliating your skin with cane sugar and sea salt, helping you shed superficial layers of skin and moisturizing you from head to toe.
Both coconut oil and sea salt have tons of health benefits when applied to the skin.
Coconut oil is made up of a unique and complex combination of fatty acids that boost fat loss and reduce inflammation.
These fatty acids contain antimicrobial properties that clean the skin and prevent acne-causing bacteria from forming.
Sea salt, on the other hand, helps restore your skin’s natural pH and oil balance increases blood circulation, and all while providing essential vitamins and minerals when applied directly to the skin.
When you combine it with the moisturizing power of coconut oil, all of these benefits increase exponentially, as well as giving you a smooth, fragrant base to exfoliate with.
Exfoliating regularly removes impurities from the skin that clog your pores, in turn promoting new skin growth, leaving you feeling and looking new and radiant.
