Ingredients:
- 1 cup baking soda
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup citric acid
- 1/2 cup Epsom salts
- 2 tbsp of jojoba oil or sweet almond oil
- lavender essential oil (15 drops)
- 3 teaspoons water
- pinch of purple colorant (optional)
- dried lavender buds (optional)
- bath bomb metal or silicon molds
How to make it:
Combine citric acid, Epsom salt, cornstarch, and baking soda.
In a separate bowl combine the wet ingredients: almond oil, lavender essential oil, and water. Stir and add a pinch of colorant. Stir again.
Pour the oil solution into the salt, soda, and citric acid mixture. Do it bit by bit and stir. You have to add the oil mixture slowly as you don’t want to activate the ingredients yet. You will probably get the usual fizzing reaction.
Now stir the mixture to attain a texture similar to wet sand.
Add a handful of dried lavender seeds to the bottom of one mold.
Fill both halves with the mixture and press them together.
Remove the bath bombs from the molds and allow them to dry.
